The Lookout Nest
As you enter the house, you are welcome to an open area where the kitchen, dinning and living room areas are completely open. Hang your coat(s) and get cozy in front of the fireplace. Watch your favorites shows on the large Flat-screen TV on the living room.
Right of the main entrance, you find the two main bedrooms available in the first floor of the house. The rooms are nice and cozy each with a double plush beds, which are so comfortable. Each room has a 40" Smart TV for your private entertainment and enjoyment.
Off the family room area is the dining table with enough seating for 6 and the breakfast bar with 4 stools; ample seating for the entire group. The updated kitchen offers a granite counter top, stainless steel appliances including a fridge/freezer, gas range/oven and microwave. A standard coffee maker and a Keurig Coffee Machine are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a meal in case you don't feel like eating out.
Next to the Kitchen is the laundry area. A stack-able washer and dryer are available for our guests. The entrances to the full bathroom and patio deck is also located here.
Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while watching the blue jays fly between the surrounding trees that are next to and around the house. The deck area offers tranquility and feeling of being with nature. Close your eyes and listen to mother nature at its best. There is a BBQ and a fire-pit with plenty of outside chairs for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.
Head upstairs where you will find the game room/loft area. There is a Vintage Style Arcade Game with over 1000+ games as well as a 40" Flat-screen TV. To keep cool, a window AC has been installed upstairs. A very comfortable sofa is available in this area with a couple of plush bean bags. There is something for everyone to enjoy, we have some board games, cards and a few puzzles. If you complete a puzzle, please send us a picture via the VRBO app. We might show case your built.
Through the game room, you come to the third bedroom with two Twin beds, perfect for the kids to enjoy.
A little history of the Lookout Nest
The Lookout Nest was originally built in 1961 and was completely remodeled in 2015/2016. All of the appliances, the entire kitchen, the plumbing and flooring were completely replaced. We purchased the cabin in Jan 2022 and the cabin was re-furnished with brand new modern furniture and decor to give you all the modern amenities you need while enjoying the classic mountain experience. We have put a lot of pride and attention into every detail of the Lookout Nest and welcome your family in as part of our family, to enjoy and take care of the cabin as if it were your own.
